Trust & Governance
Building infrastructure-grade data products requires infrastructure-grade privacy and security practices.
Privacy
No personally identifiable information is collected, stored, or delivered. No individual tracking. All input data is anonymized at the point of collection, before it enters the Cohort Atlas processing pipeline.
Aggregation
All outputs represent groups, never individuals. Minimum threshold requirements ensure that no estimate is derived from a sample small enough to risk re-identification. Small-cell suppression is applied automatically.
Compliance
Cohort Atlas adheres to relevant privacy frameworks and data protection regulations. Our data practices are designed to meet the standards expected by government agencies, institutional investors, and research organizations.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Role-based access controls restrict data access to authorized personnel. Audit logs track all access events. Infrastructure is hosted in SOC 2-aligned environments.
Data Retention
Defined retention periods govern all raw and processed data. Automated purging ensures that data is not retained beyond its operational and contractual lifecycle.
Opt-Out Respect
Cohort Atlas honors device-level opt-out signals. When a consumer opts out of location sharing at the device or app level, their data is excluded from our processing pipeline.
Disclaimer
Cohort Atlas traffic estimates are derived from anonymized, aggregated mobility data and are not a substitute for engineering-grade traffic studies where direct measurement is required by regulation. All estimates are subject to uncertainty; confidence intervals are provided with each output. Cohort Atlas does not collect, store, or deliver personally identifiable information. Use of Cohort Atlas data is governed by applicable licensing agreements and terms of service.
